What we ask of alumni
Light commitments. Big compounding effect. Pick whichever (or all three) fit your week.
Mentor a medic
One pairing per year. Two coffees, occasional WhatsApp answers. We match by specialty interest: paeds, surgery, GP, psych, medicine, O&G.
Most common contributionSpeak at an event
45 minutes once a year. We run a panel night each term: your specialty, your route into it, your honest take. Students remember these for years.
1–2 hours / yearHost an elective
Take a CMM student on an elective placement or shadow week at your trust. We handle the paperwork. You just say yes.
1–4 weeks · summerWhy we built this
CMM alumni are scattered now, across Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, London, the Midlands, and a few abroad. The network keeps the thread.
When you sign up, you join a private WhatsApp by specialty and an opt-in mentorship pool. Nothing is public. We never share details outside the society.
Mentor, speak, host, or just be reachable
